Makies Doll Factory now available for iPad

Free build-a-doll app launched — design and order unique, customisable Makie dolls from anywhere!

LONDON — 5 MARCH 2013 – Makies™ hits another milestone today, as MakieLab announces the release of Makies Doll Factory, a free iOS app for designing and ordering uniquely customised 10” high dolls from an iPad.

Makies Doll Factory is the iPad version of Makies (www.makie.me), where customers can design, customise and order one-of-a-kind 3D printed dolls. With the app, Makie-makers can play with a range of hair, eye, clothing and colour options for male and female dolls, shape their facial features, and name and create an unlimited number of digital dolls at no cost. Hours of creative fun!

Any digital Makie can be transformed into a unique, 3D printed plastic doll and ordered via iPad too (credit card and parental authorisation required). Real-life Makie dolls are super poseable, with brushable, styleable hair, and everything in their wardrobe exists as lovingly handmade clothes for them to wear in the real world. Makie-making is creative play for kids and collectors alike, on screen and off.

Build-a-doll pricing starts at the reduced price of £59.99 and allows customers to add on hair, clothes and accessories at various price points, from basic to ultra premium. This flexible new pricing is available via the app, and will be rolled out to the website later this week.

Makies Doll Factory is downloadable for free from the App Store. For more information about MakieLab and Makies, please visit www.makie.me or www.makielab.com.
